2007: The Year In Review

Here are some of 2007s most interesting events:

January:
Nancy Pelosi becomes the first female Speaker of the House.

February:
The Indianapolis Colts defeat the Chicago Bears 29-17 in Super Bowl XLI at Dolphins Stadium in Miami.
The Departed wins the Best Picture award at the 79th Academy Awards ceremony.

April
Don Imus is fired from CBS for making racial comments about the Rutgers girls basketball team.
32 people are killed at Virginia Tech.

May
Devolved government returns to Northern Ireland.

June
The Anaheim Duck defeat the Ottawa Senators 4 games to 1 in the Stanley Cup. (Boooo)

August
Barry Bonds breaks Hank Aaron's home run record by hitting his 756th home run.

October
The Boston Red Sox defeat the Colorado Rockies in a 4 game sweep, winning the World Series.

December
The New England Patriots becomes the 2nd team in NFL history to finish their regular season undefeated when they beat the New York Giants 38-35. (The beating is coming again boys, oh yes, it is).
