Spotlight on Christianity: Blood Water Mission

Blood Water Mission is a non-profit organization to promote clean blood and clean water in Africa, the reduction of HIV/AIDS, poverty, injustice and oppression.

Its goal is to build clean water wells, support medical facilities, and focus on community in America and Africa.

It was founded in 2002 and immediately began 42 new water projects in 8 different African countries, providing clean water for tens of thousands of Africans.

Its current main project is the 1000 Wells Project which started in 2005. It calls for everyone in the United States to donate one dollar each for Africa. As its name implies, it is building 1000 new wells and clean water projects in 1000 African communities.

The band Jars of Clay (who actually founded the organization) partnered with the Coca Cola Company to donate $1.00 each for each of the first 100,000 copies sold of its newest album Good Monsters.
