Music in 1990

I got the idea for this post from Scott's post 5 Albums I don't still listen to...

This is some various lists of music that was popular in one way or another the year I graduated high school.

Here is a list of the Biggest Hit Singles in 1990:

  1. Nothing Compares 2 U - Sinead O'Connor
  2. Vogue - Madonna
  3. Ice Ice Baby - Vanilla Ice
  4. U Can't Touch This - MC Hammer
  5. It Must Have Been Love - Roxette

Grammy's in 1990:

Record of the Year - "Wind Beneath My Wings" by Bette Midler
Album of the Year - "Nick of Time" by Bonnie Riatt
Song of the Year - "Wind Beneath My Wings" by Bette Midler
Best New Artist - Milli Vanilla
Best Rock Performance, Male - "The End of Innocence" by Don Henley
Best Rock Performance, Female - "Nick of Time" by Bonnie Riatt
Best Hard Rock Performance - "Cult of Personality" by Living Colour
Best Metal Performance - "One" by Metallica

Wow, from the looks of it, for the most part music in 1990 kind of sucked.

However, here is a list of some decent albums that were released that year.

Flood - They Might Be Giants
Beg to Differ - Prong
Violator - Depeche Mode
Social Distortion - Social Distortion
Scumdogs of the Universe - GWAR
All the Stuff and More Vol 1 - Ramones
Bossanova - Pixies
Facelift - Alice in Chains
In Case You Didn't Feel Like Showing Up - Ministry
Empire - Queensryche
Vision Thing - Sisters of Mercy
Five Man Acoustical Jam - Tesla
Against the Grain - Bad Religion
Repeater - Fugazi
Strap It On - Helmet
GodWeenSatan - Ween
