Wow. You learn something new every day.
Apparently, today, March 25, is a holiday, although it is not celebrated in our country.
It is the Day of the Unborn Child. Who would have thought? A Pro-Life holiday. Cool!
According to Wiki, it is celebrated in Argentina, Austria, Chile, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Slovakia, Uruguay, Peru, Spain, and the Dominican Republic.
The holiday, according to an article at LifeSiteNews, originated in El Salvador to gain attention for the right of human life. It also originally was intended to coincide with the Christian observance of the Annunciation, which is the day traditionally associated with the announcement to Mary that she would bear the Son of God.
