Should we support South Korea?

Should the United States support South Korea? |

My response?

"Simple. No.

It's not our problem. It never was our problem.

We should have never been, nor should we ever be, the world's policeman.

John Quincy Adams once said "[We are] the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all. [We are] the champion and vindicator only of [our] own."

Translation: We advocate democracy and justice for all but when it comes to fighting, we only defend ourselves.

You might think that by being the world's policemen that we appear to other countries to be the school yard protector when in fact we actually appear to them more closely related to the school yard bully.

Let the Koreans figure out their own problems. If they decide they don't want to trade with us. Whatever, we'll find whatever resources we are getting from them from somewhere else."
