Third Party Spotlight: The Constitution Party

The Constitution Party was originally founded in 1992 and was originally called the U.S. Taxpayer's Party. The name was changed to The Constitution Party in 1999.

Its goal is:
"To restore our government to its Constitutional limits and our law to its Biblical foundations."

This party does have an Oklahoma chapter with its headquarters in Chandler.

According to the party's website the original purpose of the government was to secure the rights granted to us by our Creator and when the government goes beyond this scope, our freedom is compromised.

Here is an interesting article I found on their website. It is a description of their stance on immigration:
"We affirm the integrity of the international borders of these United States and the Constitutional authority and duty of the federal government to guard and protect those borders, including the regulation of the numbers and of the qualification of immigrants into the country."

They based this position on the U.S. Constitution, Article 4, Section 4 where it states:

"The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion."
I'm not really sure if illegal immigration is really what this Article is talking about though.

They have quite an extensive list of their stance on several political issues which I think I will go into more detail on in a later post perhaps.

For now, you can do some of your own reading at the below links:
