Caddyshack (1980)
Directed by Harold Ramis, this film stars Chevy Chase, Ted Knight, Rodney Dangerfield, and Michael O'Keefe as well as Murray as country club assistant greenskeeper Carl Spackler.
This movie spawned a sequel but only Chevy Chase returned to reprise his role from the first one.
Stripes (1981)
Bill plays John Winger in this Ivan Reitman directed film.
This one had quite a cast. Harold Ramis, John Candy, Judge Reinhold, John Laroquette, Bill Paxton and Dennis Quaid.
Ghostbusters (1984)
Another Ivan Reitman directed film and another great movie that has spawned a sequel...and rumored to spawn a third.
This film also included Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver, Rick Moranis, Annie Potts and William Atherton.
I think the trio of Murray, Aykroyd and Ramis are amazing together.

I’m not sure if I could narrow it down to a Top 3 with Bill Murray.
It was not easy believe me.
The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, Broken Flowers and Lost in Translation were good movies that Bill Murray was in. All of them in the new century, showing a more mature version of his acting career.
