Top 3 Films: Tommy Lee Jones

Happy 64th Tommy!

The Fugitive (1993)

In this film based on a television show from the 1960s, Tommy plays U.S. Marshal Sam Gerard, who is hunting down the main character, Dr Kimble, who is played by Harrison Ford.

For this film, Tommy won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor and a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor.

Also starring in this film besides he and Ford were Joe Pantoliano, Sela Ward (briefly), Julianne Moore, and Andreas Katsulas.

He also played this character in the films sequel, U.S. Marshals.

Cobb (1994)

In this biopic, Tommy plays the main character, the Hall of Fame baseball player, Ty Cobb.

Also starring in it is Robert Wuhl who plays Al Stump, who wrote the book that this film is based on.

Men in Black (1997)

Directed by Barry Sonnenfeld and Executive produced by Steven Spielberg, this movie is based on the Men in Black comic book series, which was put out by Aircel Comics in 1990 and then re-published in 1997 by Marvel Comics.

Tommy plays Agent K apposite Will Smith's Agent J.

It also stars Vincent D'Onofrio, Linda Fiorentino, Rip Torn, and Tony Shalhoub.

He also played the same character in Men in Black 2, released in 2002 and is rumored to return in Men in Black 3.
