Happy 94th Birthday Ernest!!

The Dirty Dozen (1967)
This classic war film was about a group of military prisoners that get trained for a secret mission during World War 2.
It had an amazing cast. Ernest starred as General Worden. Also starring was Lee Marvin, Charles Bronson, Jim Brown, George Kennedy, Trini Lopez, Telly Savalas, Donald Sutherland, and John Cassavetes.
This film was the highest grossing film of 1967.

Escape from New York (1981)
This film, directed by John Carpenter, turns the island of Manhattan into a maximum security prison where the President of the United States is taken captive and a criminal is given the task of rescuing him.
Ernest stars as Cabbie. Kurt Russell stars as the main character, Snake Plissken. It also stars Harry Dean Stanton and Donald Pleasence (as the President).

McHale's Navy (1997)
This military comedy is based on a 1960s television series by the same name, which Ernest starred in as Lt. Commander Quinton McHale. He reprises his role in this film, having been promoted by this time to Admiral.
His son, Lt. Commander Quinton McHale Jr, is played by Tom Arnold.
It also stars Dean Stockwell, Debra Messing, David Alan Grier, Tim Curry and Bruce Campbell.
