Oklahoma Legislator Conservative Rankings 2012

This is a list compiled by the Oklahoma Constitution's Conservative Index. It ranks Oklahoma's legislators in order of most conservative to least conservative. The scores are based on a percentile score and are based solely on the individual's voting record.

Here are the top 11 results for the Oklahoma State Senate:

Anthony Sykes - 100
Mike Mazzei - 93
Greg Treat - 90
Gary Stanislawski - 80
Ralph Shortey - 80
Rick Brinkley - 80
Bill Brown - 76
Patrick Anderson - 76
AJ Griffin - 75
Josh Brecheen - 73
Clark Jolley - 73

Here are the top 11 results for the Oklahoma State House of Representatives:

Jason Murphy - 100
Sally Kern - 100
Tom Newall - 100
Charles Key - 100
Elise Hall - 100
Paul Wesselhoft - 90
Dennis Johnson - 90
Sean Roberts - 90
David Derby - 90
Colby Schwartz - 90
George Faught - 90

Just out of curiosity, I checked on Randy Grau, the House member from Edmond, and he came up 17th on the list with a score of 83.

This list, by the way, did rank Republicans AND Democrats. The top 11, however, ended up being all Republicans in both Houses.

  1. It appears that the House is more conservative than the Senate.
