Why has the Oklahoma County Sheriff failed to investigate deaths committed under his watch inside the County Detention Center and why have murder charges been filed against his detention officers for the wrong deaths of several inmates?

Why are there no cameras installed in the stairwells of the Oklahoma County Detention Center?

Why is the Oklahoma County Detention Center severely overcrowded even by prison standards?

Why does the Oklahoma County Sheriff, John Whetsel, say that we need to spend $340 million on a new facility when most of the problems, according to the DOJ report, are operational, not structural, in nature?

Why did the Oklahoma County Sheriff demand more money from the County General Fund to hire more detention officers yet no additional detention officers appear on the payroll?

Why did the Oklahoma County Sheriff refuse to inform the Oklahoma County Jail Funding Task Force as to the exact costs of running the jail and why did he refuse to cooperate by giving an account of the monies he was receiving?

Why did the Oklahoma County Public Defender sue the Oklahoma County Sheriff because he failed to adjudicate state inmates to the state system?

Why did the Oklahoma County Sheriff request funds to purchase a Harrier jump jet?

Why does the Oklahoma County Sheriff spend county money and resources to patrol municipalities that already have a standing police force?

Why did the Oklahoma County Sheriff allow inmates to assist in the construction of his re-election campaign signs?

Why is John Whetsel still the Sheriff of Oklahoma County?
