Helmet is considered a metal band? Really?
ReplyDeleteDid you know that Angus Young hates it when people call AC/DC a metal band? He said that he thinks they have more in common with punk bands than metal bands.
Yeah, Helmet is actually considered a metal band by most. Technically, they are usually referred to as an alternative metal band (and you know how much I love the term alternative).
ReplyDeleteI could kind of see that about AC/DC but I personally see them more as a kind of metal and blues hybrid. There is a lot of blues influence in their music and they do the blues metal thing a hell of a lot better than Led Zeppelin ever did.
I never considered Zeppelin a metal band either.
ReplyDeleteWhere is Tool, or Mastadon, now those are some good bands!
