Pixies: Discography of the Moment

The Pixies are a rock band that formed in Boston, Massachusetts in 1986. They disbanded in 1993 but reunited in 2004. Their music mixed elements of indie rock, noise rock, and surf rock, drawing influences from artists such as Husker Du, Captain Beefheart, Iggy Pop, The Gun Club, The Cars, The Beatles, Buddy Holly, Black Flag, and David Bowie, among possible others. They never had much commercial success while they were originally together but their influence on other bands is evidence in a lot of music from the 1990s, particular certain bands from the grunge movement such as Nirvana, Weezer, and Radiohead, among many others.
